The Most Popular Auto Transport Routes and How You Can Benefit From Using Them

In the US, there are 6 points known as major carrier destinations: the northeast, the northwest, Chicago, California, Texas, and Florida. If you’re shipping between 2 of these areas, then you’re following a popular transport route.

The route between the northeast and California is the most popular, but it can be just as easy to find transport on any of the others. If you live in an area that that receives less traffic despite being on these routes, then a truck will be able to make a detour and pick up your car.

For example, Atlanta citizens can move their vehicles to Seattle easier, since trucks which go from Florida to the northwest usually visit Atlanta as well. If you’re in Phoenix, you can ship a car to Texas easily since there will be carriers dropping by from California.

However, the best situated city when it comes to trucking routes is Nashville. It’s located on the routes carriers take when traveling between California and New York, Texas and Chicago, Texas and New York, Chicago and Florida, as well as Seattle and Florida.

Furthermore, being so connected comes with other benefits than just easy auto transportation. All other types of trucks pass through Nashville as well. Therefore, its citizens can quickly and cheaply transport a large variety of items which can be very favorable for the city’s businesses. Nashville is now a kind of major destination for auto transportation along with Denver.

As a side effect of these major routes, some areas in the US have very few auto transport possibilities. Maine, New Hampshire, and a large part of Vermont are places where auto transport is difficult to find. This is due to the northeast megalopolis present nearby.

Most carriers will not bother going up-north when there’re numerous vehicles available somewhere else. Due to this reason, West Virginia, Nevada, and Wyoming are also areas from which transporting a car can be difficult.

Shipping to/from Various States and Cities

Depending on a city’s location on or off a major route, it can be easier or harder to find auto transport for your vehicle. Other factors play a role as well, such as snowbird migrations and the presence of ports. For a better understanding of how the auto transport industry is affected by these factors and how you can use them to your advantage, we will now present the situation in a few of the country’s states.

Virginia

When it comes to auto transportation, Virginia receives an average amount of traffic. The reasons for this situation are two: the thickly forested and mountainous area, and the lack of a large city.

However, there are a lot of carriers going to/from the northeast that pass through Virginia thanks to its location. More so, the salaries in this state are good, it’s friendly to business, has great tourism, and a big port network.

Unfortunately, while the largest part of the population lives in the Norfolk-Virginia Beach Metropolitan area, this part isn’t close to other substantial roads and cities. Because of this, carriers going to Virginia Beach must have most of their business there. And, this cannot be done consistently as there isn’t a large enough population.

There’s a small group of snowbirds in Virginia, though the effect of snowbirds going to other nearby states is felt. Shipping towards southern states greatly increases between October – December due to snowbirds temporarily moving towards warmer states.

On the other hand, you’ll have to pay a large fee to ship from a state in the south towards Virginia between the months of April and May. This is due to people going back home. To get the cheapest price possible, it’s best to ship in the direction opposite of the one snowbirds are taking.

The Most Popular Auto Transport Routes And How You Can Benefit From Using Them

Maryland

It’s rather easy to ship vehicles to/from Maryland. The biggest metropolitan area in Maryland, Baltimore-Washington, is also one of the biggest in the US. It’s easy to transport vehicles if you’re near this area, so most of the state’s citizens can easily use such services.

Furthermore, the largest medium income in the country is here, so people can easily afford auto transportation. Residents with more wealth often need more auto transport, so the state’s industry is flourishing.

Auto shippers are also using the Baltimore port. As the second most used US port when it comes to auto shipments, numerous carriers are necessary to move all the vehicles that come and go.

While there are many transporters going to Maryland, the Northeast Megalopolis of which it is part of attracts lots of carriers from Boston and New York.

The price of auto transportation is greatly influenced by snowbirds. Though there isn’t a large community of snowbirds in Maryland, there are many in its surroundings.

Most carriers prefer shipping vehicles from these communities, since they can pick up more at a time. Because of this, if you’re trying to transport your vehicle from Maryland with the same direction and time as the snowbirds, then you’ll likely need to pay more than usual.

Florida

The situation in this state is slightly more complex, so we will present it based on each city or group of cities:

Jacksonville. There are many military bases located in this city, and the population is also growing in number. There’s also a large port here used for international auto transportation.

Since the climate is colder than in more southern alternatives, snowbirds usually don’t pick this city. However, price fluctuations created by snowbirds affect Jacksonville residents too.

The heavily used i-10 and i95 interstates meet up in Jacksonville. Because of this, it’s easy to ship your car from here, though in comparison with other Florida cities, you may end up paying more if you’re heading northwest or west. When going there, the majority of trucks will travel through Florida up i-75 without passing through Jacksonville.

Furthermore, those living near the beach will have a hard time using door to door services. Since the roads leading there are narrow, auto transport trucks may not fit.

However, carriers can easily access the city’s northwest, northern, and southern areas. There are plenty of clear and wide roads going there.

As for the hardest area to reach with a carrier, that would be downtown. However, there should be parking lots nearby that truckers can use. In terms of truck accessibility, Jacksonville is above average.

Miami. When it comes to auto transportation, Miami is a very popular destination. There are numerous students shipping their vehicles to Miami University from all corners of the US when the school year starts and ends.

Due to the warm weather, snowbirds come here as well. There are also numerous active car related companies here, such as international exporting and importing, or body shops.

When it comes to auto transportation, Miami offers some of the best options in the entire United States. Most Florida car carriers will arrive in Miami. After a couple days’ stay for maintenance, the trucks will go back for the return shipment.

Because of this, you’ll find that carriers’ drop off and pick up schedules are more flexible here. Furthermore, the cost of auto transportation is the cheapest in all of Florida.

Melbourne, West Palm Beach, Vero Beach, and Port St. Lucie. These are popular snowbird destinations due the cheaper housing in the area. Since most drivers will pass through here while going to/from Miami, it’s very easy to find auto transportation within these cities.

Gainesville, The Villages, and Ocala. Florida University is located in Gainesville. As such, students, usually with their parents’ assistance, will transport cars to and from here each year. Furthermore, snowbirds, usually retirees, will often choose The Villages for their winter migrations.

However, despite all of this, it can get a bit more expensive to transport vehicles to/from these places. Also, if you’re going towards the northeast, you may have a harder time finding a carrier.

Orlando. While there are more popular auto transport destinations than Orlando, the city is located in the middle of Florida. Because of this, most truck drivers going into the state will pass by Orlando or a city near it making auto transportation very easy to find.

Tampa, Sarasota, Bradenton, Saint Petersburg, and Clearwater. Southern cities along I 75, such as Saint Petersburg and Clearwater are visited by numerous snowbirds each year. During winter, the weather here is excellent.

While Tampa doesn’t enjoy the same popularity with this group, it being a large city means there will be a lot of transport done for school and work purposes. The price of auto transport is generally good, though it may go up when moving to/from a northeast state.

Naples, Bonita Springs, and Fort Myers. Cities in the southwest of Florida are extremely popular snowbird destination. There are much quieter and cleaner communities here when compared to Miami, and the weather is ideal. Auto transport prices are good, though they do go up if you’re sending a car northeast.

Tallahassee, Panama City, and Pensacola. Florida State University is located in Tallahassee, so there will be many cars shipped here or from here when the school year starts or ends. While Fort Walton Beach, Panama City, and Pensacola are great places to visit on vacations, their northern location in Florida means snowbirds don’t come here.

When it comes to Florida Auto Transport, this area scores the lowest due to how hard it is to transport cars northeast. Drivers arriving from the Miami area must make a large detour to reach these cities.

As a result, there’s a big problem when it comes to availability and price for northeast trips. However, if you plan on sending a car in any other direction, you won’t face problems.

The Most Popular Auto Transport Routes And How You Can Benefit From Using Them

Delaware

It’s not as easy to ship a car out of Delaware as from the states mentioned above. When it comes to auto transport, the parts of Delaware south and north of Dover should be discussed separately.

There’s a lot of traffic in the northern part. Many carriers pass through Wilmington when going to the Northeast Megalopolis. If the pay is sufficient, these trucks can reach Dover as well, so it’s very easy to transport a vehicle from here.

However, the southern part of Delaware doesn’t benefit from the same conditions. Unless the price is excellent and there are lots of vehicles to be shipped, auto carriers will likely not venture this far south. Because of this, people interested in moving their cars from the southern part of Delaware will need to be flexible when it comes to dates, prices, and locations.

However, there’s a chance thing will change in the future. One of the United States’ most friendly states when it comes to business is Delaware. Half of all companies which are traded publicly are incorporated in Delaware. More than 60% for Fortune 500 companies are here as well.

Because of this, many people are moving to the state which is helping the auto transport industry greatly. There aren’t cities with more than 100.000 citizens, but that is likely to change.

The more people move to Delaware, the more cities will grow and reach parts of the state that aren’t quite as populated yet. If the situation continues, there’s a high chance this state will enjoy a lot of auto transportation.

New Jersey

One of the best states to ship a car to/from is New Jersey. It’s densely populated, small, and positioned well for transportation. New York City and Philadelphia are close to it, and it’s also the Northern Megalopolis’ center. So, while there aren’t huge cities in New Jersey, the fact that it’s located in the middle of a lot of them compensates for the problem.

Besides its excellent position, the state’s overall wealth is another advantage. New Jersey citizens have the 2nd highest median income in the United States. They also benefit from a well developed economy, with the largest industries being tourism, telecommunications, chemical engineering, and financial services. Because of this and its highly dense population, there are lots of orders for auto transportation every year.

Like most states in this area, snowbirds frequent New Jersey as well. While winters are fine, there is a risk of winter storms due to how close it is to the ocean.

Most areas in this state can be accessed by trucks. Transportation is also affordable and easy to obtain.

There is one small area that’s heavily forested making access difficult. However, you can still get door to door service if you pay extra, or you can meet the driver at a nearby location.

Connecticut

Due to its dense population and centered location, there are many auto carriers that pass through Connecticut. The state is also located between Boston and New York, which are both highly attractive to auto transporters. Therefore, shipping vehicles is generally easy.

Harford, as well all areas near interstate 95, 91, and 84 will be the easiest to ship from. There are no dead zones, though it can be trickier to ship from the northwest corner.

The area’s economy is very well developed. The state enjoys the highest income per capita in the US. The Human Development Index also marks it as among the best states in the country.

Due to these good living conditions and thriving economy, there’s a large demand for auto transport as well. Wealthier people are more likely to sell old vehicles and buy new ones adding to the demand for transportation.

Similar to other northern states, Connecticut is affected by snowbirds as well. There’s an increased demand for auto transportation in the colder months towards more southern states. Because of this, auto transport prices tend to grow exponentially during this period. The opposite occurs in spring when people go back to Connecticut.

Rhode Island

While Rhode Island is a small state which shouldn’t lead to too much demand, it is nonetheless excellent for auto transportation. This is mostly due to how close it is to Boston.

Truck drivers from Boston can easily access Rhode Island’s population when driving south towards other destinations. As such, citizens from both locations receive similar auto transport rates.

Rhode Island benefits from the snowbirds’ migration every year. Providence Port is also an important factor in the state’s success.

And, while Rhode Island is small, it’s the 2nd most densely populated US state. There’s plenty of carrier traffic within the area, so shipping your car should be easy.

The Most Popular Auto Transport Routes And How You Can Benefit From Using Them

Massachusetts

This is one of the most auto transport friendly states in the US for a number of reasons. It has a major port, high per capita GDP, a major Metropolitan area, and is densely populated.

All these factors contribute to a great auto transport environment. However, the biggest factor has to be its citizens and their concentration. It’s one of the most populous states in the US with more than half of its population located in Boston.

The state’s economy is also well developed, so new tourists and residents are coming every year. There are excellent higher education programs as well which lead to a great influx of students. Because of these factors and Boston’s port, an enormous amount of vehicles are moving to/from this state every year.

To ship from Boston to any other place in the US is straightforward and quick. Since many carriers that leave the city pass through Springfield as well, this area is also very friendly to auto transportation. It may be harder to find an available carrier in Springfield’s northern area, but it can be solved by paying a bit more.

New Hampshire

It can be harder to transport a vehicle to/from New Hampshire. Like with Maine and Vermont, the population is small and there are numerous mountainous roads that make truck access difficult.

However, since it’s close to Boston, New Hampshire’s situation is slightly better than the above mentioned two. Finding a carrier in Manchester will likely be easy. For somewhat higher rates, the state’s bottom half can obtain auto transport from several companies which ship from/to Boston.

However, the northern half of the state faces more difficulties. There are too few people needing auto transport in that area, so carriers usually don’t go there.

For the best auto transport rate, you can arrange a pick-up location in Boston even if you’re living in New Hampshire. For a slightly higher fee, you can get transport in Rochester, Kingston, Portmouth, and Manchester rather easily.

Maine

The only place in Maine where you can get auto transport at a decent rate is in Portland. However, only 40% of citizens live there, so in general, finding a carrier can be difficult. It’s hard for those in the state’s northern area to find auto transport, as well for anyone not near interstate 95.

Vermont

This is another state where obtaining auto transport is next to impossible. To ship a vehicle, most people will have to pay much higher fees unless they live or can take the car to Vermont’s northwest corner.

As one of the states with the fewest number of citizens, the demand for auto transport is very low. The most populous city here is Burlington with only 42.000 citizens. Because of this and due to low demand, most drivers avoid the area.

New York

When it comes to auto transport, New York is very important. It has a very large population, so the demand is high. However, accessibility can be a problem.

There are many small packed roads and low bridges. While the upstate part is better in this regard, the request for auto transport is also much lower.

It can be easy to transport your car if your city is somewhere around interstate 90. However, other areas can be difficult, especially if you’re sending your car from Plattsburgh or Watertown.

Companies which ship to/from New York City deal with challenges differently. A small truck may come to you for the pick up or drop off procedure. In other cases, you may have to meet the truck nearby. There may even be terminals in the city where you can drop off your car.

Because of constant change, misleading signs, as well as poorly paved and small roads, conducting auto transport in New York can be very difficult. This is why, although the volume of transport in NYC and Los Angeles is similar, there are more carriers working in the latter city.

Auto transport in New York benefits from the snowbirds’ migration too. As always, it’s best to ship opposite to their travel if you want to avoid higher transport rates.

The Most Popular Auto Transport Routes And How You Can Benefit From Using Them

Pennsylvania

While Pennsylvania has always been an important US city, the auto transport industry in this state is only average with Philadelphia taking most of the spotlight. The city’s large population draws in carriers every year. Furthermore, since it’s close to New York and New Jersey, finding transportation for your car becomes very easy.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the rest of Pennsylvania. It can be difficult to find transport in Pittsburgh depending on where you want to send your vehicle. Cities like Scranton and Harrisburg pose difficulties too. Since their populations are low, the only way to transport an automobile there is by using carriers that pass by.

Other than this, snowbirds will leave towards warmer states when winter approaches, usually towards Florida. This should be considered when planning your transport due to the price fluctuations created.

Overall, it’s rather simple to transport a vehicle to/from Pennsylvania. People living in Philadelphia will find it easier, though everyone else should be able to find auto transportation just fine. Only interstate citizens may have problems, especially those from the state’s northeast corner.

Ohio

It’s generally easy to transport a vehicle to/from Ohio. The location is great as it links the Midwest with the northeast. The state’s economy is also excellent resulting in a high auto transport demand.

The most important city in this area is Columbus. It has the largest population, a good location, and a highly developed economy based on technology and manufacturing.

These advantages are present in Cincinnati and Cleveland as well. There’s a lot of business interest in Ohio. Many companies have distribution centers in the state, as well as car manufacturing factories.

Thanks to the high education level, aerospace technology firms, healthcare institutions, and research labs, everyone can find their place in Ohio. While conducting business, people are constantly moving around which leads to a constant demand for auto transportation.

Because there’s a lot of snowfall in winter, transport prices are affected by snowbird migrations. Overall, it’s usually easy to transport your car to/from this state.

Illinois

In the auto transport industry, Illinois could be considered a super power. Since the industry depends on people, the more citizens there are, the higher the demand. In this state, the demand is huge due to being a highly populous state with more than half of its population concentrated in a single city, Chicago.

Truckers from all around the US pass by this city. As a result, carrier traffic is improved for the entire state leading to cheaper services for all those who might need them.

While Chicago isn’t located in the United States’ center, due to its connections, it might as well be. After all, the main reason for the city’s size is ease of transport.

As a northern state, it is affected by the snowbird migration. So, if you’re shipping cars to/from Florida, Texas, and Arizona at the same time as snowbirds, you’ll likely have to increase your expenditure. California is an exception, as the price of transportation to/from this state remains about the same throughout the year.

Michigan

Michigan is a very automobile friendly state. Cars and car manufacturing are big factor in Detroit’s success. While the state is going through difficulties as of late, automobiles still play a very important role.

Michigan, and especially the auto transport industry, is highly affected by snowbird migrations. Since the Great Lakes are near, winters experience a lot of snowfall which most people try to avoid.

Auto transport prices rise drastically at the beginning of winter if you’re going south. On the other hand, if you’re bringing a car from south to north during this period, you’ll likely get the best rates possible. When snowbirds return to Michigan, the opposite applies.

Many tourists visit the state during summer months. Popular destinations include the peninsulas, islands, and the coast line, though most of the people visiting these places come from nearby states or from Michigan itself.

Therefore, auto transport prices won’t be affected by this season. On the other hand, shipping towards the states’ northern area will be much easier.

Indiana

Indiana has embraced vehicles quite early. The state has evolved along with automobiles making it an ideal location for car manufacturers. One of the first US speedways was the 1909 Indianapolis Motor Speedway now used as a premier track for motorsports.

Some companies go as far as moving their factories to Indiana, and some of the largest racing events are held on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Therefore, auto transport is in high demand.

In terms of size, Indianapolis holds the 12th spot in the United States. Along with the Indianapolis metro, it’s very easy to ship a car to/from this area. There are also seven interstate roads which connect the city to the rest of the United States, as well as a highway system that makes travel within Indiana easy.

Similarly to Illinois, due to the state’s high connectivity, the population is rather evenly spread except for areas covered in forests. Even though there are some rural areas, the well maintained roads make carrier access easy.

An indirect role in the state’s auto transport industry is played by snowbirds. Chicago and Detroit experience many more snowbirds, so carriers often go to these cities instead of to Indiana.

As a result, during winter and spring months, auto transport prices may spike in this state. Shipping in the opposite direction as snowbirds will have the opposite effect allowing you to obtain much lower rates than normal.

Wisconsin

When it comes to auto transport, Wisconsin is only slightly above average. The Milwaukee metropolitan area is where most of the population is concentrated in, so getting a carrier in another area can get difficult.

However, transport to Eau Claire, Madison, or Green Bay is definitely possible. Smaller cities and towns may also benefit from carriers which pass through them on their way to Milwaukee.

While snowbirds impact the state’s auto transport, the degree isn’t as high as in others. The population isn’t wealthy enough to afford leaving each year during winter.

On a positive note, the state is close to Chicago, one of the most important carrier hubs in the US and the main destination of numerous drivers. Some of them may go up north if there’s a high enough demand.

Minnesota

When it comes to auto transport, Minnesota is good though not extraordinary. Most carriers go straight to Minneapolis where 60% of the state’s population is concentrated. As a result, those living outside this metropolis may find it harder to procure auto transport.

There’s a huge influence brought upon by snowbirds during their yearly migrations. The difference in price between going on the same path as the snowbirds vs. the opposite can easily surpass $500.

Minnesota enjoys a good economy and its citizens usually have high incomes. There’s a low rate of unemployment and a high education level.

People here are active with all kinds of events occurring year-round including during winter. Each year, numerous tourists come to visit the state’s 11.000 lakes. Many will rent cabins where they retreat throughout the year.

Therefore, there are numerous factors that create auto transport demand in Minnesota. The only thing you should pay particular attention to is the snowbirds’ migration which will greatly affect carrier availability and price.

North Dakota

Due to it having a small population spread across a large state, North Dakota doesn’t attract too many auto transporters. However, there is an interstate used by many carriers on their way to/from other places.

If you live near interstate 94, it will be much easier to find a truck than if you live anywhere else. Unfortunately, there aren’t as many people living around the interstate when compared to Montana.

In terms of economy, the state is growing rapidly. North Dakota has the smallest unemployment rate, and lots of jobs are generated each year. The main motive for this growth is the oil industry. Because of it, there are new jobs available all the time with payment that improves every year.

However, in terms of auto transportation, North Dakota is still desolate. This may change in the future, but those not living near interstate 94 will likely still have a hard time finding transportation. If you live somewhere else and lack money and patience, it’s best to meet the carrier somewhere around this interstate.

Montana

When it comes to auto transportation, Montana is not particularly popular. Due to the large surface area of the state and the small population, carriers tend to avoid it.

However, when it comes to geographical organization, it’s very suitable for carriers. It has seven somewhat large cities with five of them being near interstate 90 that gets some auto transport traffic.

Idaho

This is another state where auto transport is hard to come by. Idaho is limited by its poor roads and small population. Carriers need more time and fuel to take/bring cars from here, making the trip not worth it for many. The poorly paved, mountainous, and steep roads pose danger to the cargo, increase fuel consumption, and may even damage the truck.

However, there are quite a few people moving into the state due to the beautiful geography. The unique wilderness and mountains attract numerous people each year. Therefore, there is a possibility that the population will grow in the future to a point where auto transport will be more feasible.

Most drivers going through Idaho are aiming for Seattle. Due to bad roads and low demand, the only way to ship your car from certain parts of the state is with lots of patience and a decent budget.

Washington

There are more requests for vehicles entering Washington than for those going out. A reason for this may be the ports. There’s a lot of trade being done with Asia through ports in Washington, and vehicles are a large part of the cargo. Another reason for this trend is how many people are moving to this state as opposed to out of it.

Washington and Oregon have a Northwest Pacific culture in common. While both states have great living conditions and opportunities, Washington receives slightly less citizens each year. However, this state also has 3 million more people than Oregon, so the auto shipping environment is more developed.

Washington citizens have high incomes which encourage them to move, take vacations, buy new vehicles, etc.  However, snowbird activities are not present in this state.

In general, it’s much cheaper to ship a car out of Washington than into it. It’s easiest to send a car from Seattle as more than half of the state’s population lives there. For transports heading east, cities near interstate 90 benefit from similar prices. For transports heading south, cities near interstate five will get the best deals.

The Most Popular Auto Transport Routes And How You Can Benefit From Using Them

Oregon

The auto transport industry in Oregon is slightly above average. The state has a unique culture leading to countless people moving in. This affects the car shipping industry greatly, the main effect being the cheaper price of shipping vehicles out as opposed to into the state.

In the past, the economy of Oregon has always revolved around fishing, timber, and other natural resources. However, technology is starting to take over. Some areas of the state are now known as the Silicon Forest.

As a result, the working environment in Oregon is excellent, and new attractive jobs are appearing constantly. Companies like Intel, Adidas, and Nike have their bases here and provide great working opportunities.

When it comes to snowbirds, their effect is not felt in Oregon. While rain is frequent in western Oregon, snow is not. There is plenty of it in the eastern side of the state, but due to the mountainous area, the population there is much lower.

On the other hand, ports do influence the area’s auto transport industry. Not a lot of vehicles are moved through Oregon’s ports, but their existence is still a big incentive to carriers. However, since there are more vehicles shipped out of the state than in, you’ll need to be wary of the resulting price difference.

California

Due to having the largest population in the US, California is also the most popular auto transport destination. Due to so many people living there, home relocations, motorsports, restoration projects, car shows, body shops, breakdowns, and dealerships are plentiful. However, the main reasons why the auto transport industry is so successful here are the high population and car culture.

Arizona

When it comes to auto transport, California and Arizona are very similar. In most situations, carriers are going to Lost Angeles and stopping by Phoenix along the way. Therefore, the price for transportation is usually the same. As a result of this phenomenon, although the snowbird season doesn’t cause as much of an influx in Arizona as in California, the effect on auto transport prices is basically the same.

The state’s population is quite high, though most of it is found in Phoenix. This means that people living in other areas, especially those in the northern part of the state, may have to endure higher transport rates.

New Mexico

In terms of auto transport, New Mexico is a middle ranking state. It has the infrastructure needed for this industry but not on a large enough scale. While it’s a business friendly state, the population is still quite low.

There are body shops and car dealerships though in low numbers. Beautiful scenery is plentiful and the artistic culture is excellent. However, there isn’t as much tourism as one might expect. So, while New Mexico has all the elements that make other states successful, it doesn’t enjoy the same popularity.

These being said, the state’s location does make it easy to ship cars out of it. Due to paving the way between Texas and California, there’s plenty of auto transport traffic.

You can ship your car relatively easily if you live near interstate 10 or interstate 40. However, those living in other areas may have to meet up with the carrier halfway or pay more for it to come to them.

Texas

After California and Florida, Texas is the best state in terms of auto transport. While there are bigger states, like Chicago and New York, Texas had 10 cities with some of the highest population in all the US.

The excellent business environment is also very helpful. There isn’t an income tax, and the laws are generally friendly towards companies.

As a result, there’s an increase in the tech industry. Large companies are located here, and even more are starting or moving in. Because of these factors, individuals need more car shipments, body shops, and dealerships.

There are 1.150 ports in Texas with Houston Port being the largest. When it comes to foreign imports and exports, it’s one of the country’s leading locations. Among the various goods being shipped, there are also numerous cars which help the transport industry greatly.

A final factor that affects the industry is the booming snowbird population. In this state, visitors prefer using RVs instead of temporary homes. Therefore, the effect on auto transportation won’t be as high as in other states.

Louisiana

South Louisiana’s Port drivers the most auto transport into the state. As the biggest US port and one of the largest globally, it leads to lots of cars coming and going from this part of the state.

However, if you’re looking for a low price in the northern side of Louisiana, you may have difficulties. Finding auto transportation will not be a problem though, as there are many major highways available for carriers. The fact that the state is close to Texas is also an advantage.

Attractions like Mardi Gras and sporting events bring in tourists but only for a few days. Therefore, most of them don’t seek to bring vehicles over.

Another negative factor is the unemployment rate. Despite the attractive areas and unique culture, the unemployment rate is the highest in the US. Because of this, not many people move here and few individuals ship cars towards Louisiana.
