How to Schedule Transport.
Scheduling international automobile transport has never been easier than it is today. You will initially provide specific information about your car including the make, model and year. You also need to let the representative know if you have had anything changed on the car that would alter the size or weight of the car. The representative will answer any questions you may have about international shipping. Once all of your information is entered and you have chosen a type of transport you will be given a total price quote for shipping. Your representative can schedule your car for convenient door to door shipping so you won’t need to drive the car and drop it off at a terminal. Damage insurance is included in the cost of shipping but you may want to check to make sure it is sufficient for the value of your car, especially if you have an expensive automobile.
When you ship a car to Brescia you have a couple methods of transport to choose from. The first, and most commonly used is RORO. RORO is the easiest, fastest and most affordable type of transport available for shipping cars. Short for roll-on roll-off, RORO means that your car will be driven onto the ship for transport, secured in place for the voyage, and then driven off when it reaches the port to Brescia. RORO has been in use for many years and has been the most widely used form of automobile transport for more than 40 years. When you need to have your car shipped by sea and have it arrive as fast as possible, then RORO is the way to go for shipping all makes and models as well as large or small motor vehicles. Similar to RORO yet offering more elemental protection during shipment, is containerized shipping. Containerized shipping is enclosed shipping by sea. Automobiles, machinery and personal items can be driven into a large secure shipping container and then loaded onto the cargo ship for transport, Shipping containers have exteriors and interiors that have been sealed to keep weather and damaging elements away from the contents inside the container. Many containers are also climate controlled and padded for even more secure transport. Containerized shipping is more expensive than RORO but it is a valued investment for those who have exotic, classic, antique and collectible automobiles.
Your transport representative will be able to walk you through each type of available shipping and will assist you in determining the type that will best suit your car.
