There are some limits as to how far a vehicle can be transported (at least overland) in one day, so that puts a cap on how quickly they can be shipped to certain areas. To give you an idea, most auto carriers can only travel 300-400 miles per day with a load. Keep in mind that outside factors like weather, traffic, road delays, and construction can limit the distance even more. There is another option, air freight, which we’ll address in the second section below.
Next day shipment for cars is a service that’s available to anyone who’s having a vehicle transported. Here are a few of the customer groups that we commonly get requests to ship overnight for:
- New Car Owners
- Online Car Buyers
What Is The Fastest Way To Ship A Car?
If you need true overnight shipping at a distance of more than a couple hundred miles, you do still have options available, but the cost is very high. That’s largely because the other available option is shipping your car by air freight, which is to say, on a plane. As you might expect, this does not come cheaply. At least check, it could easily be over $10,000 simply for a trip from the East Coast to Europe. That said, it is a trip that can be made in less than 24 hours.
Unless you need a car shipped 300 miles or less, air freight is one of the only ways to receive true overnight car shipping. Some overland shippers may be able to log around 400 miles, but that’s being generous and definitely on the upper end of what’s possible. Air freight, by contrast, can deliver a vehicle to most parts of the world within a 24-hour timeframe.
Another option, though not as easy to arrange, is overnight car shipping by train. This is not a method that is used very often, but it can be a good alternative if you need something shipped a little faster than a standard carrier, but more affordable than air freight. Naturally, shipping a car by train limits your destinations to the areas it travels or areas nearby to the route.
