Shipping a motorcyclist to Orlando, Florida is a wise decision. Not only will you be able to cruise around enjoying the warmer weather and cool breeze, but there will be many places for you to stop at and check out. Besides, shipping a motorcycle is rather cheap and can be done quite easily.
The Requirements Needed Before Shipment.
Before you send your motorcycle off to be shipped, many companies will have a list of requirements that will need to be met. These are all basic with the exception of crated shipping which has different requirements. Below, you will find the standard requirements for most shipping methods, as well as the requirements for crated shipping.
Crated Shipping Requirements.
- Drain all of the fluids from the motorcycle.
- Remove the handlebars and mirrors.
- Disconnect the battery.
- Wash the bike and make sure it is free of any dirt or deposits.
- Remove anything on the bike that may be loose or unnecessary.
- Disable the alarm system.
- Make sure the tank is no more than a ¼ full.
- Examine the bike for preexisting damage. Take notes and pictures.
- Check all fluids, including air pressure and the battery.
If all of the requirement are fulfilled, then a safe shipment to Orlando is much more likely. Some companies will offer insurance during the shipment too. Take advantage of this so that you can rest assured that your bike arrives safely.
