Safe And Reliable Joliet Car Shipping Services By A-1 Auto Transport

Situated about 40 miles from Chicago, Joliet is in Will County and is home to just over 147,000 people. It is one of the fastest growing cities in the state and in the Chicago metro area.
There are a number of landmarks in this area that make it unique and give it a personality aside from its proximity to Chicago. This includes the Chicagoland Speedway and the Route 66 Raceway, located in the region. The Joliet Area Historical Museum is located here as well, as is the Joliet Prison (which has been featured on a number of popular TV shows and movies). Moreover, the first Dairy Queen in the country opened in this very city. There are two casinos here as well, offering yet another entertainment option for those looking for something different to do. This is the only city in the state that has two casinos in one area.
Using Joliet Vehicle Transport Companies
When you are looking to book Joliet car transport services, keep a few key tips in mind:
- Ask plenty of questions when booking transport: This gives you a chance to determine whether or not a company is the right fit for you, outside of the price they are quoting for transport.
- Read the contract in detail: You don’t want to sign a contract that has a lot of caveats that you were not expecting, nor do you want to be responsible for a slew of hidden fees you never knew existed. Avoid this by reading the contract in its entirety before signing.
- Ask about accepted forms of payment: When the transport company drops off your vehicle, they might not accept anything other than cash. This is something for which you might want to be prepared before scheduling your drop-off.

Precautions in place for Electric Daisy Carnival
Joliet hospitals and paramedic crews are preparing for Electric Daisy Carnival much the same as they would for a race weekend. The three-day rave music event starts Friday at Chicagoland Speedway. It now is expected to draw fewer than the 30,000 people a day that had been estimated earlier. The size of the crowds at the festival featuring electric dance music will be smaller than a typical NASCAR race, but younger. Electric Daisy Carnivals also have had a history of drug arrests and overdoses. But Joliet Fire Chief Joseph Formhals said he does not think city paramedics will find anything …

Thanas quits again; this time for good?
JOLIET — City Council members said Thursday there is no transition plan yet for a new city manager, noting that they have not yet received official notice that Thomas Thanas has resigned. Thanas on Tuesday night told the council that he quit, while walking out of a closed meeting after a disagreement with one council member. It was the second time since March that Thanas resigned after a run-in with council members. He sent an email in March, saying he would leave by the end of the year, but the matter seemed to be settled after the council voted the …
