- A maximum of 6 months if the vehicle is secured by an international passage register
- A maximum of 3 months with no international passage register. This can be extended an additional 3 months if the owner affords a deposit or provides insurance equal to the amount of customs taxes and fees
- The vehicle owner MUST be in good standing with customs officials.
