Department of Transportation – The Department of Transportation serves the 50 states of the United States by ensuring that all states have a fast and reliable roadway system to safe and secure travel. They also monitor the trucking industry by setting standards that must be complied with by all trucking companies for safety on the highways nationwide.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration – Enforces vehicle performance standards in coordination with state and local governments. This organization helps reduce the number of highway deaths, accidents and injuries nationwide.
