As a motorcycle enthusiast based in the City of Oxford, you may have come across the need to have the bike shipped. Whether you sold the bike or have a cross country move planned ahead, it doesn’t matter. Motorcycle transport services are available to anyone in need.
The process of shipping any type of vehicle is one that should only be supervised by experienced individuals with the right tools. If the bike cannot be delivered in any condition other than the condition it is in now, purchasing shipping services is the best solution. Many dealerships and manufacturers hire transporters to deliver their vehicles. Actually, every vehicle is transported by professionals at least once in their life.
Popular Shipping Methods for Motorcycle Delivery.
The open air shipping method is the most inexpensive form of shipping. The motorcycle will be left open to the weather, but it is rare that any damage ever occurs. This is especially true when the bike is in the hands of a professional.
Enclosed shipping is a little more secure in that the bike is enclosed in a large shipping container. The bike is first secured to a pallet and usually protected with packing materials. Other vehicles are usually in the container with the bike.
Crated shipping means that the bike is literally secured inside a small crate. This crate just fits the motorcycle within its walls, preventing it from movement during its travels. This is the most expensive and protected form of motorcycle transport.
If you find it hard to settle on a shipping method, let the customer service reps help you come to a decision. They will even help you customize your shipping process if you have any special requests.
