The quiet Town of Durham houses many motorcycle enthusiasts. Just cruise the streets on a warm day and you are sure to see many others doing the same on their bikes.
Since so many throughout the town find a need for motorcycle shipping services, there are many reputable transporters around to choose from. Even dealerships use these low cost services to quickly transport their vehicles.
If you need to send a bike to the West Coast, simply book with a transporter a couple weeks in advance. Keep in mind that most cross country trips take less than two weeks. If this isn’t quick enough, ask the transport company if they offer expedited or guaranteed delivery services. They will certainly explain all that they can do to get your bike there as quickly as possible.
How Do I Know I Can Trust the Transporter?
- Appropriate licensing and affirmative documents.
- Insurance coverage.
- An assortment of shipping services for motorcycles.
- The most recent, state of the art equipment.
- A website with accurate contact information.
- Positive reviews and ratings.
- Very low down payments, if any requested at all.
It is always wise to ask if the transport company is approved by the DOT if you cannot find it expressed somewhere on their website. DOT approval assures that the transport company abides by the regulations set for the shipping industry. This means that the transport company provides reliable services in which you can entrust your motorcycle with.
If you have any concerns or suspicions about a transport company, don’t bother hiring them for services. You will only stress about the bike’s condition the entire time it is en route and the potential of the bike being harmed is more likely if the shipping services aren’t accredited.
