Now that we're just past the start of 2017, it's time to focus on what's in store for car lovers, as this year is shaping up to be an extremely interesting one for auto enthusiasts. One of the main reasons is that technology is developing at a rapid pace, leading to major feature additions. The following are just some of the most anticipated cars of 2017:
Bentley Bentayga Diesel.
For lovers of diesel-powered cars, the Bentley Bentayga Diesel is a big deal. The reason is because it's the first ever Bentley to be powered by a diesel engine. It features a triple-turbocharged 4.0 liter V8 and 600 hp. It's also Bentley's first-ever SUV.
Genesis G90.
A brand-new luxury sub-brand from Hyundai, the Genesis G90 is also this new brand's first ever vehicle. Made to compete directly with the Mercedes-Benz S Class and the BMW 7 series, this luxury sedan comes with a wide-array of standard features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen and adaptive dampers. It's available with either a 365 hp, 3.3 liter twin-turbo V6 or a 420 hp, 5.0 liter V8.
Kia Niro.
The compact Kia Niro is a brand new gas-electric crossover. Able to get approximately 50 miles per gallon, it has a 1.6 liter, four-cylinder engine, which gives it 139 hp. It's not only extremely fuel-efficient, but it features plenty of cargo space and headroom, making it highly versatile.
Toyota 86.
The Toyota 86 is a rebranded Scion FR-S, as Toyota closed down that brand last year. This time, it'll feature more of a “Toyota” appearance and features a completely redesigned bumper, as well as all-new headlamps and grille. This is in addition to brand new features and specs. Toyota hopes to make a big splash with this one.
Buick LaCrosse.
The all-new Buick LaCrosse is a third-generation model. As a full-size sedan, it manages to weigh 300 lbs less than its prior model. In addition, it features a V6 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission. Every aspect of this sedan has been significantly improved this year.
Honda Ridgeline.
Honda has completely redesigned the Ridgeline. It now provides much of the tow and payload characteristics that people come to expect from a truck, but with the drive of a modern SUV. Its front-wheel drive and six-speed automatic model features a 3.5 liter, V6 engine that gives it 280 hp and 262 lb-ft, while its all-wheel-drive model has a towing capacity of 5000 lbs.
Infiniti Q60 Coupe.
The Infiniti Q60 Coupe is a third-generation model and is both wider and lower than its previous versions. It also features a highly-praised brand new exterior. The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbo four, with 208 hp, while there's the option of adding a 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 engine with 300 hp.The V6 add-on also comes with adaptive steering technology and dynamic suspension.
