We've already gone over 5 of the biggest auto shows in the world in Part 1, so without further adieu, here's Part 2 of the Biggest Auto Shows in the World:
The Paris Motor Show
The Paris Motor Show is a luxurious event that is notable for being the first motor show in the world when it was started in 1898 by automobile pioneer Albert de Dion. It features the sophisticated elegance of Paris, including wine and art, with some of the most cutting edge vehicles today.
Many of the top car manufacturers in the world use the Paris Motor Show to show off the very latest concept models that they have, as well as some of their new technologies. It is held every other year and is extremely popular among those in Europe. The next one is scheduled for the Fall of 2016.
Auto Shanghai
China's car market is growing rapidly, especially as many Chinese-based car brands are focusing much of their efforts in making an impact in other parts of the world. The growing middle class in China have a seemingly unquenchable thirst for new vehicles, and Auto Shanghai is happy to oblige.
First started in the 1980s, it takes place every two years and is attended by many of the major car manufacturers from not just Asia, but also from North America and Europe. Car brands throughout the world attend the event to show off their latest models for consumers. In recent years, this event has grown in importance because of the fact that car brands are looking to gobble up more of the market share due to China's growing car demand.
Woodward Dream Cruise
Even yet another auto show to take place in Detroit (and the State of Illinois for that matter), the Woodward Dream Cruise is geared specifically for car enthusiasts. Taking place on Woodward Avenue in Detroit, it features a gathering of over 30,000 hot rods, muscle cars, and more.
Many people attend the show to show off their own cars, but a variety of car brands are also present to show off their very latest in speedy, powerful vehicles. It can trace its roots back to 1848 when various carriage riders would have a race on the same street. Now it takes place every third Saturday in August.
The International Geneva Motor Show
Geneva, Switzerland is expensive, yet the beautiful city and the International Geneva Motor Show is representative of the vast wealth that's present in the area. Occurring in March on a yearly basis, it takes place in the Palexpo Convention Complex.
Not only do hundreds of thousands of people attend the show to see the very latest production and concept models from car brands, but many prominent people from the automobile industry also attend. Various private conferences can take place among the industry officials, as it's an auto show that is highly influential from a business strategy perspective.
The International Motor Show Germany
Arguably the biggest auto show in the world, the International Motor Show Germany, which is officially called the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung, has been occurring in some form since the end of the 1800s.
It takes an interesting approach in that, since 1999, the show has been divided into two different parts. On odds years, passenger vehicles are shown in Frankfurt, while on even years, commercial vehicles are shown in Hanover. The very latest and best cars in both categories are on display, and it's extremely well-attended.
If you're in the vicinity of any of the auto shows mentioned here or in Part 1, you should definitely try to attend. You won't regret it!
