Malta Motor Vehicle Regulations for Importing
If you want to import your vehicle to Malta, you will first need to show proof that you live on the island for no more than six months prior to importing your vehicle. Your vehicle will need to be registered in Malta within a six month period prior to shipping. If you plan to be a permanent resident of Malta, you don’t need to pay any duty taxes for importing your vehicle. You will need to show proof of insurance when you import.
