Save Money on Shipping Cars
The process of shipping cars is best left to those experienced in the auto transport industry whether you’re shipping the cars from state to state, across the country, or internationally. Hiring a transporter to carry out your cars’ delivery is cost effective and affordable. Many transporters will even have various shipping services and options for you to take advantage of. They’ll help you plan your transport based on your budget, preferences, and details of the vehicles including the distance they must travel.
To save the most money on car shipping services, use the Internet to gather the phone numbers of several reliable and reputable shipping companies. Make sure the ones you collect info from have all the right qualities including licenses, certifications, BBB approval, and other positive characteristics. Once you have found the right transporter, start thinking about your car shipping options.
Open Air Methods Are Best for Delivering Multiple Cars
Open air methods are available for national and international deliveries. Ground transport includes the use of a car hauler while overseas transports include the use of a flatbed ship. Although open air methods lack to provide shelter from poor weather and road conditions, they are known for their safe and successful deliveries. Even dealerships and manufacturers use open air methods to transport multiple vehicles from one location to the next. It is the absolute cheapest way to ship cars.
If you use an open air method for the delivery of your cars, make sure that they are prepped for the transport properly. Every car should be clean, inside and out. There should be nothing in the vehicles other than a car jack, spare tire and floor mats. They’ll have to meet the weight restrictions for open air shipping methods especially if the vehicles are transported by a car hauler for ground transport.
Before you let the cars take off with the transporter, make sure to take pictures of each vehicle. They should be in the best possible condition. If any damages are noticed once the vehicles are delivered, contact the transport company immediately to start filing a claim through their insurance agency. Fortunately, it is rare for customers whom hired a reliable shipping company to ever file a claim.
