How Military Car Ship to Guam?
Anyone looking to ship a military car to Guam is going have second thoughts more than likely. These thoughts ca be avoided, if you hire a dependable, licensed, insured and reputable transport company familiar with shipping military vehicles overseas. Going through experienced experts is much safer and more affordable than you think. A lot of overseas car shipping companies will lower their shipping rates for military personnel considering they have no other choice but to utilize professional transport services if they wish to transport their military vehicles.
There are two preferred transport methods that most customers purchase for the transport of their military vehicles. These services include open air and enclosed shipping services. Both of them are great ways to ship a military car, but RO/RO shipping is an open air service that tends to cost much less and yet still provide a successful delivery. By state law, all licensed transporters must carry at least liability insurance coverage on all vehicles they are to transport. This protects your military car even with the use of open air shipping methods.
Get the Military Vehicle Ready for Transport
By preparing the military vehicle, you are increasing its levels of protection during the transport to Guam. Those caring for the shipping process will also be kept safer with the fulfillment of vehicle prep.
- Clean the vehicle thoroughly on the inside and outside. Take out any items that weren’t with the vehicle after it was manufactured unless you are shipping the vehicle through enclosed shipping services.
- Check the tire pressure and the fluids.
- Leave the fuel tank less than ¼ full.
- Document and snap pictures of all present damage done to the automobile before its transport.
- If asked, disconnect battery and alarm system.
As stated above, there may be other preparation tasks as required by your transporter. It is your responsibility to make sure that these tasks are fulfilled and cared for. This will only make the transport easier on everyone involved and protect the military car’s condition.
