Transport services offered in La Verne
Open-air shipping enjoys wide popularity in different parts of the country. It is one of the cheapest ways to move a vehicle from one end to the other. At A-1 Auto Transport, we can have your car placed on a flatbed truck or a multi-car trailer depending on your preferred method.
Enclosed transport uses a closed-top carrier, which shields your vehicle from natural hazards and other external risks. It is the best service when you have an original or fully restored classic as well as other high-end luxury brands.
Prepare your schedule a few weeks in advance and contact the transport early enough so that you can have a better door-to-door experience. The option might take a long planning process, especially when moving to a remote area.
Terminal-to-terminal shipping helps to keep transport companies efficient and lower your cost to ship. We will pick out a convenient drop-off and pick-up hub in your state. We have a wide network of such points scattered around major towns and cities in the country.
A-1 Auto Transport offers reliable international shipping solutions. Whether you need help with the paperwork or finding the best transport option, we have experienced professionals willing to help you. We can move your vehicle by plane or by boat depending on your needs. Our RoRo standard offers some of the most competitive rates in the industry.

How to prepare a car for shipping
Get it cleaned up so that you can have a correct inspection. Dirt and dust might hide some of the dents and scratches on the vehicle. Your inspection should detail all forms of cosmetic damage on the body.
Clean out the interior while making sure that you remove all personal items and valuables left in the car. The standard checklists from the FMCSA and insurance companies put aftermarket accessories in the same class as personal goods. Do not leave your newly installed DVD player, stereo speakers, or GPS in the vehicle.
Remove the spoilers, ground effects, and other loose accessories installed on the exterior. Use a protective cover on all the breakable parts and fold in the side-view mirrors. Remove the antenna and secure it in the trunk or retract it completely.
Run down the gas to about 1/4 of the tank, which allows for a little driving and keeps your vehicle from exceeding the weight limit. Try to keep it in running shape using the following maintenance checks:
- Check the engine oil and other fluids. Top off the insufficient levels to the right amount.
- Keep your tires well inflated.
- All the terminals on your battery should work properly. Keep it on a full charge and make sure that it’s seated correctly in its compartment.
- Disable the alarm system to keep it from going off while in transit.
- Document the mechanical problems and special operating instructions for the driver.
- Hand over a spare set of keys for the ignition and other compartments to the driver.
- Always try to make it early for the drop-off and collection.
