Cost to ship a car to Cameroon from the US
There is no better way to explore your new surroundings in Cameroon than with your own personal vehicle. Fortunately, it’s possible to have your car imported from the U.S. However, you should call the Embassy of Cameroon to learn of the latest import restrictions and duty rates before booking with the transporter.
The cost of shipping services is separate from the duties owed to Cameroon. Shipping services are not only cost effective, but they are affordable. Most transport companies give their customers insurance coverage and tracking services free of charge, saving them even more money. Shipping customers may even qualify for discounts or promotions.
Pay the duties and tariffs before the transport is carried out. Show proof of payment to Customs along with the other requested documents. As long as you have everything and the car meets the country’s restrictions, you will receive a certificate of approval allowing the car to ship to Cameroon
What Shipping Services are the Most Affordable?
Most overseas auto transport companies have a variety of shipping services. These services are all designed with the car’s safety at the forefront, regardless of their price. There are some services that are preferred more than others because they’re cheaper. A lot of dealerships and manufacturers use these services.
The RO/RO shipping method is much cheaper than the container shipping method. RO/RO shipping is an open air service. The car will be driven onto the top of a flatbed ship where it will be secured for its travels. All vehicles are protected by the transport company’s insurance coverage during the shipping process.
If you plan on shipping other belongings with the car and must use container shipping, see if you can split the space and cost of the service with someone else. You can choose a container size that allows both of you enough space for possessions.
