If you have the need to hire a motorcycle transport company, find services in or nearby Hoover, Alabama. A transport company can ease a lot of your worries. For example, many dealerships and individuals that sell motorcycles will often use transport services to ship them to their new owners. This protects the bike’s integrity and assures a safe arrival.
Any reputable transport company will have reliable haulers and equipment to provide the best services. They even offer expedited and door to door deliveries for those who need to ship a vehicle within a shorter time frame. Their insurance policy offers added protection during the transport.
The Shipping Process
- After the motorcycle has been secured to the hauler for its shipping process, the driver will proceed to the next location. Make sure that you gather the driver’s contact information before they begin their journey. As they drive, they will be attentive of weather and road reports to avoid risky conditions. In some cases, the driver will find an alternative route to take if weather or road conditions aren’t promising.
- Most transport companies offer real-time satellite tracking. This tracking service allows you to follow the driver that has your motorcycle via online resources. Any Wi-Fi enabled device can be used for this.
- When the driver knows for sure what time they can be expected to arrive at the new location, they will give a call to the person who is to retrieve the bike from them. Of course, if you aren’t going to be the responsible party retrieving the motorcycle after the shipping process, you must let the transport company know who will be there to sign off on it.
- After the motorcycle has been removed from the hauler, inspect it for damages. If you created a list or snapped photographs of the motorcycle prior to the shipping process as suggested by the transport company, use them to refer to. If you see any harm that was caused by the shipping process, tell the driver. The driver will then fill out a report that you must sign. This will then be taken to the transport company. The company will then give you a call in case an insurance claim must be filed.
