Elizabethton is a very historical city in Tennessee. It was the landmark city of the first organized government in America, the Watauga Association that was created in 1772. It was also the location of both the Battle of Musgrove Hill and the Battle of Kings Mountain during the American Revolution in 1780. The city is a small, conservative community in East Tennessee and is situated just a few miles from larger cities like Johnson City, Bristol, and Kingsport as well as near the border of North Carolina.
