All over the nation there are thousands upon thousands of different auto transport companies. Many of these companies either specialize in or offer motorcycle shipping services. If you reside near or in Bossier City, you’re in luck. You have many wonderful options to consider when you’re in need of shipping a bike.
Whether you need local or long distance shipping services, someone will have you covered. Just make sure that you hire a company known for successful motorcycle transports. They should have the proper equipment, training, and characteristics in order to be trusted with the relocation of the bike.
What is the Difference between Crated and Enclosed Shipping Services?
A lot of people find the differences between enclosed and crated shipping methods confusing. While there is another popular shipping method available, that one leaves the bike open to all elements faced out on the road. This intimidates some and they find themselves conflicted between enclosed and crated shipping options. It is best to understand the differences before making a decision.
The enclosed shipping method is a very secure form of transport, yet it isn’t as protective as the crated shipping method, making it less costly in most circumstances. This method of shipping includes having the bike fastened to a pallet and placed within a large shipping container along with other vehicles or items.
The crated shipping method is a little more detailed and more require a little more responsibility on your end. Handlebars and other items may need to be removed from the bike. The motorcycle is then secured within a very small, tight container for shipping. This stops the motorcycle from moving and shifting during its travels. It is also less likely to suffer any damage or be at risk of becoming lost or stolen.
