Summer is just around the corner, and that can only mean one thing—the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is near! We’re excited for another year of awesome bikes, crazy people, and beautiful scenery. Here’s our first peek at this year’s Sturgis Rally.
Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame
Every year, my first stop in Sturgis is at the Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame. Because of that, I’m excited to write that the museum has announced plans to expand, including 3-D renderings of what an expanded building would look like!
The Museum is now accepting nominations for 2015! Individuals, organizations, and businesses that will be considered for induction will have made a positive and significant impact on motorcycling.
Black Hills Grand Tour
If you’re interested in bike rides while you’re in Sturgis, you’ve got to check out the Black Hills Grand Tour. Starting in Deadwood, we’ll be making stops at the Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer, Black Hills National Forest, Cheyenne Crossing, and finally through Spearfish Canyon. You won’t find a better ride in the country, let alone Sturgis.
Sturgis Dragway
Finally, if you need to get your racing fix, head on over to the Sturgis Dragway. Races will be happening all summer long, including during the Sturgis rally. Events include bracket races; Amsoil Sturgis Nationals; Knuckle Car Show; Doug Nelson Memorial Races; Kool Deadwood Nights Nostalgia Races; and much more.
