Anyone in need of motorcycle transport in the Watford City area is in luck. The city has many reputable shipping companies in the area. The key is to find one that has experience in handling and shipping motorcycles in specific. Usually, by searching the websites of the companies nearby your home, you will get an idea of the services and features offered by each one.
This is a great way to gather the potential transport companies’ contact information as well. Of course, as you check their services page, assure that they offer transport services for motorcycles before you begin calling around for quotes.
What Is the Crated Shipping Method?
The crated method is known for being the most secure out of all the transport methods offered to motorcycle shippers. Although this method is a little pricier than other shipping options, it makes it less likely that the bike will be harmed in any way. It isn’t often that a vehicle is harmed while in the hands of the professionals, but things such as weather, road construction and debris all play factors in the outcome of a transport.
When the motorcycle is ready to be shipped, it is typically secured to a wooden pallet and slid inside of a small crate. Some transport companies may even ask you to remove the handlebars due to the smaller size of the shipping crate. When the bike is secured inside the crate and wrapped with packing materials for protection, the crate is fastened shut and put inside of a large cargo container.
Insurance coverage is carried by most reputable shipping companies. In fact, it is mandatory for legitimate transport businesses to provide coverage on their customers’ vehicles during the shipping process. This coverage assures the safety and integrity of the motorcycle.
