Safe and Reliable Union Springs Shipping Services by A-1 Auto Transport
The seat of Bullock County, Union Springs was home to Creek Indians, one of the most powerful and biggest Native American tribes. They were expelled from the land because of a land ownership dispute with the European migrants in 1832. Families from nearby states eventually settled to the open town and established the area for agriculture. It became widely known for its cotton farming, railroad system, and tourism.
The town got its name from 27 freshwater springs in the area which provides ample supply for personal and agricultural use up to this day. It got its nickname, Bird Dog Field Trial Capital of the World, due to field trials organized by Lewis B. Maytag on his hunting preserve named Sedgefields Plantation. People across the globe visit the place to train their dogs for bird hunting up to this day.
