Bauxite, Arkansas Professional Auto Transport
Bauxite is a small town in Central Arkansas and has been primarily a bedroom community for many years. Homes are priced much lower in Bauxite than in many areas of state and families find it highly affordable to live in the town and work in larger cities nearby. Bauxite was a very productive location for aluminum during World War I and World War II and was a major center for the production of refined aluminum used for war planes and other military material used during the wars.
Today, there are still metal plants and chemical processing plants in town and a majority of local residents that do not work outside of town work in the processing plants. Bauxite has a great public school system and sports, especially football, are very popular for youth as well as adult members of the community.

Auto Transport Inquiries
- When I book auto transport, will the company let me specify the exact date my car is picked up? - All companies will try their best to accommodate the dates that their customers need the vehicle picked up and delivered. This does not mean that they will absolutely be able to guarantee the date. Auto transport times are generally on time, but customers should keep in mind that many things can affect the time a car if picked up or delivered. Issues ranging from weather, truck maintenance, interstate accidents and traffic flow as well as other customers arriving late to pick their vehicle up can all affect the time or date all other vehicles on the carrier are delivered. Try to be patient and know that the driver works very hard to make sure your vehicle is delivered in a timely manner.
- I have to leave town on short notice, will I be able to arrange to have my car picked up at a location after I am gone? - There are many shipping terminals throughout the United States and while most companies prefer to pick vehicles up and deliver vehicles at a physical address, many can also arrange transport from a terminal location as well. If you are trying to save money when you have the car transported, shipping to and from a terminal is also less expensive than door to door.
- Will my car be covered by insurance as it is transported? - Federal law requires that all companies that transport motor vehicles and other freight must carry valid cargo insurance on all shipments. Your car will be covered during transport. You will not be able to leave personal items inside the car however, as auto transporters are not allowed to haul personal items and the company insurance will not cover anything but the vehicle. You will want to speak to your private insurance company as well as to make sure the personal auto insurance you have on the vehicle will cover it during transport as well.
