Long distance moving can be the best or the hardest

Long distance moving can be the best thing to do and the hardest thing to do. I am in a situation that I have been in since I was 18 years of age. I have just graduated from Hertford County High School. Since I was a student at Hertford county high school, I wanted to be successful. I used to dream about being a teacher taking over the classroom and knowing what I am talking about with proof of my findings.

As a young man living in Hertford County, I have been in and out of Roanoke Chowan Community College for over 4 years, because I could not follow my dream to attend Elizabeth City State University for 4 years to earn my bachelor’s degree in education. I just took different classes and majored in three different majors at the community college. After I got my associate applied science degree in criminal justice, I worked odd jobs for a while until I found my niche as a teacher by taking an online course in substitute effective teaching training with Halifax County Schools. I did very well with the course and I am now thinking about moving to Halifax County or to Raleigh, NC to teach.

My intentions are to earn my bachelor’s and master’s degree in criminal justice so I can teach my own criminal justice class at a community college. The only hardest thing will be missing my mom who has been there for me my whole life. My siblings will be missed as well.  Another hard task would be traveling for 1 to 2 hours to my mom’s house every holiday, and can’t see her or my siblings unless on face time.  Adjusting to another county and neighborhood is a challenge for me as well learning other co-workers. I have learned to take the initiative to go on my on and make my dream finally come true.
