With over 1,000 exhibitors and more than one million square feet of floor space, the event has something for everyone, which is part of the reason it attracts people from all 50 states and more than 70 countries. The following includes a selection of the best of the events from the show with a brief description of each.

MATS Concert – Each year, those in attendance are invited to enjoy a free concert put on by event sponsors at the Kentucky Expo Center’s Freedom Hall. The 2014 concert was headlined by Grammy winning country music artist, Gretchen Wilson. Passes for the Friday concert are given out at sponsor booths starting the day before the performance. As of this writing, the headliner for the 2015 event has not been announced.

Fleet Forum – The Fleet Forum is a conference for transport industry executives and VIPs in which they discuss current issues, new technology, and ways to improve efficiency and accountability. The 2014 event included a panel discussion regarding the new electronic logging devices (ELD), which were part of a proposal by U.S. Department of Transportation to improve driver compliance and safety.

PKY Truck Beauty – One of the big attractions of the Mid-America Trucking Show is the PKY Truck Beauty Championship, which is named after event founder, Paul K. Young. Entrants compete for a variety of prizes, including awards for People’s Choice, Best in Class, Best of Show, as well as other categories. The competition usually draws around 100 of the top heavy-duty show trucks in the country and is held in Lot J.
