Located in Lesotho, Hlotse is located near the Hlotse River and near the border of South Africa. It was formed in 1876 by a British missionary named John Widdicombe. It gained independence during colonial times. If you are coming to Hlotse to work or as a returning citizen, you may want to consider importing your vehicle.
Because Lesotho is landlocked, you will need to ship your vehicle to Port of Walvis Bay, located in Namibia and then you can drive it to Hlotse, once your vehicle clears customs. You will first need to hire a reliable transport company to assist you with importing from the United States over to Lesotho. You will need to have all the necessary documents in order before you begin the process.
A1 Auto Transport Service has been providing transport assistance in South Africa for many years and they know what you need in order to ship your vehicle with the proper documentation. They can provide all the guidance you will need in order to transport your vehicle with minimal effort. When transporting your vehicle, you will need to provide the right documentation to customs. The most important documents to have with you is the Letter of Authority as well as the import permit.

You will also have two different types of shipping methods to Lesotho to choose from. The first one is called Roll On/ Roll Off, or RORO. This method is the most affordable way to ship a car from one port to another. Your second choices will the container shipping. This method of shipping uses a container, either a 20 foot or 40 foot container, to load with your vehicle and personal items before it is placed on the ship for transport. A1 Auto Transport Service can help you with any questions you may have when importing your vehicle from one port to another. You will need to pay all taxes associated with importing before you can pick up your vehicle once the import is complete.
Once you have completed all the paperwork and have paid all the fees associated with importing your vehicle, you will be able to import without any delays. Customs will need to clear your vehicle before you will be able to drive it around. You will want to get your vehicle legal as soon as possible. If you have any questions about importing your vehicle, you can contact the Embassy of Lesotho.
