  • Driver’s License
  • Original Bill of Sale

If other paperwork is needed prior to shipping, the transport agent will be able to go over all of that information with you in detail. Before you export your car from the U.S. you need to make sure you get a final quote from the agent that includes the cost of shipping, container fee is you choose to ship by container, pick-up and delivery fee if they will need to pick-up and drop-off your car for you. Methods of Shipping Cars

RoRo Shipping– RoRo is the least inexpensive method of shipping your car to Durban. RoRo ships deliver cars, trucks, vans and other wheeled vehicles. Cars are safely driven aboard at the exit port and driven off at the entry port in Durban.

Container Shipping– Container shipping simply means you can have your car shipped inside of a container for international shipping purposes. Container shipping takes a little longer than RoRo Shipping because customs will have to inspect the containers. When you ship via container you can also ship personal and household goods along with your car internationally.

Air Shipping– Shipping by air is the fastest way to have your car shipped internationally. The car is loaded onto a cargo plane and flown to the Durban/King Skanska International Airport in Durban.

To find out more about the documents you will need prior to shipping your car, and other useful information on shipping and customs regulations when traveling internationally you can contact the U.S. Customs office for exportation laws in the U.S. and import regulations for Durban, South Africa as well as other cities and countries around the world.
