Vehicle shipping can be burdensome in some cases. Some countries have strict policies and requirements, making it rather difficult to have an automobile imported. As for Dnipropetrovsk, it isn't so troublesome. The requirements can easily be fulfilled by anyone.
Having a personal vehicle with you while you reside in Dnipropetrovsk will make local travel much easier. You will have the freedom to travel at your own convenience and without having to use public transportation. Public transportation presents many language barriers and even currency issues. A personal vehicle will make getting to where you need to go much easier.
With about a million residents, Dnipropetrovsk is the fourth largest city in Ukraine. It is the center of the nuclear, arms and space industries, which is why many come for work. Many of the country's political and business matters are addressed in this city.
The city has many shopping centers and is well developed. The land is flat and the climate is rather warm year round, making it a great place to live for many. There is an extensive road network with paved roads so that travelers can easily travel.
RO/RO Shipping VS Container Shipping
There are two main ways to go about shipping a vehicle. Both are relatively inexpensive, at least compared to air shipping. Air shipping is very pricey and not many can afford to use this method of shipment.
Shipping a vehicle RO/RO means that the vehicle will be empty at the time of its shipment. Only a car jack, a spare tire, and floor mats are allowed. The vehicle will then roll onto the ship and when it ports, it will roll off of the ship.
Container shipping requires that the vehicle is put into a very large shipping container. The container can fit other belongings as well. The vehicle can also be filled with possessions allowed by Ukraine Customs. If a single container is more space than you may need, it can be shared with another individual which will also help to lessen the cost.
The Requirements for Shipping a Vehicle
When shipping a vehicle to Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine one will need to follow specific requirements and have the necessary documentation.
- Title and Registration
- Proof of Purchase
- License and Picture ID
- Notarized Affidavit (if vehicle was gifted)
- A vehicle must be no more than 10 years of age.
- The amount of duty paid will depend on the car's age and engine size.
Make sure to contact the Embassy of Ukraine prior to vehicle shipment. This will help the vehicle owner to learn of all that is needed for vehicle shipment. The policies can change at any time so it is important to stay current.
