- Open-air vs. enclosed shipping: There is nothing as assuring as having your high-value car inside our enclosed trucks. Enclosed shipping keeps at bay all the elements that may damage or lead to the theft of your valuable car. However, if you just want to ship your everyday-use car at low cost, we still got you covered. Open-air transportation is a cheaper and more regular way of shipping cars to or from Shenandoah County.
- Terminal vs. door-to-door delivery: When you have a busy schedule that leaves you no time to drop or pick your car from us, you shouldn’t worry. We have a solution for you. Door-to-door delivery gives you the much-needed convenience when you are hard-pressed for time. You will direct us where to pick your car and we will deliver it at your doorstep. If this is not for you, you can as well opt for our terminal-to-terminal delivery. This option is cheaper and presents you an opportunity to test-drive your car once it has been shipped. You only have to drive down your machine to one of our shipping terminals for drop-off and pick it from the destination terminal upon arrival.
- International shipping: When it comes to international shipping, there are numerous hurdles you need to surmount; key among them being customs documentation and piles of legal paperwork. Settling on a quack shipper may see you losing money, getting into problems with the authorities and damages on your vehicle. A-1 Auto Transport has been shipping cars on the international scene for over two decades. We, therefore, have the right solutions for you. You can choose sea freight or air freight, containerized shipping or RORO shipping.

Prepping your car for shipping
- Give your vehicle a good clean. This will give our drivers an easy time when looking for scratches and dings on your car.
- Document any existing damage on your car. During inspection, you need to make a note of any dents on your car. You will be required to sign an inspection report after inspection. Keep your copy safe.
- Reduce your gas tank to a maximum of ¼ of the tank’s capacity. Anything above that can result to leakages and it may add weight to your car.
- Ensure that your car is in good running condition. Check whether all fluids are at their recommended levels, the car battery is working, and the wheels are well inflated.
- Remove all personal items from your car. We are not allowed to transport such items when shipping cars to or from Shenandoah County.
