Poland International Moving Services
International moving is a complex and very procedure-intensive affair. It takes time and is mentally and physically strenuous. Undeniably, you will need professional help if you are looking for Poland International Moving Services. Left on your own, you may take months or even end up not moving at all.
Look for professionals who offer international moving services and if you can identify a team that can also handle shipping of vehicles, you will be the better for it.
How Much Does It Cost to Move to Poland?
The cost of moving internationally to Poland can range anywhere from $2,000-$12,000 depending on various factors such as the size of the move, total distance, route, transportation method, and current market trends.
Budget between $4000 to $9000 if you're moving to Poland from a one- or two-bedroom home. On the other hand, moving from a five or six-bedroom home may call for a budget of $12,000 to $16,500.
Your move to Poland may be more expensive than expected, depending on additional factors, including storage expenses, legal fees, and moving insurance.
Moving Insurance
Moving is tough enough. As a result, you don't have to worry about your products being delivered in the same state when you sent them out for delivery. Moving insurance will reduce the stress of worrying about the dangers of relocating by moving insurance.
Most transportation providers strongly suggest buying insurance to protect your valuables. Although most providers do not automatically include it in their packages, you should check and create a budget. Although the price of moving insurance varies greatly, it often starts at $100 or more. If you're shipping expensive goods, the cost can be higher.
Storage Costs
For various reasons, you could need storage when you're moving. For instance, it's possible that your possessions will arrive ahead of you or that you'll need to make a few last repairs to your new house before moving in.
Keep storage in mind when planning your move budget because it can be helpful in any of these situations. Needing storage will impact your move's price if you need storage. Although storage rates vary, you should start with a budget of $100 or more. You should also confirm the cost of storage with your carrier before moving.

Customs duties on household belongings
Duty-free import of household goods is available, provided you purchased these items more than six months ago. You also won’t be permitted to sell them within Poland, during the first year that you live there. In addition, customs mandates that you export all duty-free items, once your Work Contract is up (1). Another sources states that staying in Poland for over six months, is also necessary to receive duty exemption (2).
It also appears that value-added tax (VAT) will still apply to duty-free shipments, though this isn’t entirely clear. If VAT is imposed on your goods, the current rate is 22% of the shipment’s value (3).

Required paperwork for household belongings
You will need the Original Bill of Lading or Air Waybill, passport and a valid Letter of Employment. If you’ll be working for a different company within Poland, then a letter from your last employer will also be required. A full packing list and a Residence Permit should be presented as well. A Work Permit may also be required, though this seems to vary based upon your country of citizenship.
Customs will request a comprehensive inventory as well, which should bear your signature and be written in Polish (4). Further documents are also mandatory, including registration papers for your employer, a Bank Guarantee, customer statement and Power of Attorney (if a third party will be working with customs on your behalf) (5).
Customs duties on vehicle imports
According to one knowledgeable source, duties can be waived when bringing a vehicle into Poland. There are many requisites to receive this exemption, such as living in the country for a minimum of the next six months. The vehicle also must have been purchased more than six months ago, and you’re required to have registered it in your origin country. If duty-free import is granted, then you’re prohibited from selling the vehicle for the next 12 months. If the vehicle is less than six months old, then excise tax and VAT will be incurred (6).

Required paperwork for vehicle imports
You must show the vehicle’s title and registration, as well as a purchase receipt. Other documents confirming your ownership should be provided, along with a valid Residence Permit. An inventory for the vehicle shipment is needed as well, and customs will request a declaration for used vehicles (7).
Also required are your insurance policy and a valuation that’s been signed by you (8). A Certificate of Origin and your driver’s license should be included in the packet that you submit to customs. Finally, the year of registration, chassis number, make and model are to be listed on the shipment inventory (9).
Though this overview provides you with much of the information necessary when passing through Polish customs - it isn’t definitive. In the end, only customs can supply you with the latest regulations, policies and filing requirements. For this reason, you’re advised to speak with them about your particular shipments, before relocating to Poland.
Tips on how to make your international move easier
Start early
Indeed, starting early will help you avoid unnecessary delays especially, with customs departments. Most international movers advise their clients to begin preparations about three months to the day of moving. With such a timeframe, you will be able to cater to issues that take time such as applying for a visa and a passport.
Additionally, packing is at the center of your moving arrangements. Ensure that you go through your items and get rid of those things that you will not need. Also, pack your belongings according to sizes to save on space. Label your boxes so as to identify your valuables when loading them to avoid breakages since different items do not weight the same.

Visa, passport, and other documents
Make certain that you have a valid US passport. Also, apply for a longer-stay visa if planning to stay for more than 90 days. This is because, under the Schengen agreement, you do not need a visa for the first three months, as a US citizen, traveling to Poland.
Also, find out if you need other forms of documentation such as a work permit.
Reach out to people
Definitely, if you know someone in Poland, it will be easy for you to settle-in. Such people will help you by giving you important information such as those regarding the business environment, local cultures, rules and regulations. Similarly, you can join online groups and forums and engage with their members to know more about your soon-to-be home.
