Duties when relocating to El Salvador
If you’ll be importing household belongings which you’ve owned and personally used for at least the last six months - you’ll be granted duty exemption. To be eligible, your shipment of goods must enter port no later than 90 days after moving to El Salvador. You also aren’t permitted to transfer ownership of these items, give them away or get rid of them while in the country.
