Preparing Your Bike for Transport.
Preparing your bike for its transport can be done easily and in very little time. It is suggested that you clean off the motorcycle. Make sure that it is completely free of debris and loose items with the exception of its factory features and floor mats.
It is usually recommended that the fuel tank be no more than a ¼ full. The excess weight isn’t good for the relocation process. The transport company will also need your keys during the process. You may be required to fill the tires and check all fluids. The battery and the handle bars of the bike may also need to be removed.
In order to have the motorcycle transported, there will be documents needed. The transport company may request proof of insurance, license, the title, and registration. Depending on the company and the type of transport being conducted, the forms of documentation may differ and you may need to provide further information upon request.
