Long Distance Motorcycle Movers
Find a reputable long distance motorcycle mover to help you get your bike from one location to the next. There are some great transporter companies out there for you to consider. The integrity of the bike will be protected by the hands of trained professionals, the use of proper and high quality equipment, and the insurance coverage held by the auto transport company.
Most auto transport companies offer both local and long distance shipping services. These services are operated differently. It’s important that the transporter you choose to hire is capable of shipping your bike a long distance. If you’re shipping anywhere out of state, focus on finding a transporter with long distance shipping services.
3 Popular Car Shipping Options for Long Distance Deliveries
There are only so many ways to safely and successfully ship a motorcycle. Some transporters may offer different transport methods and services but they are probably very similar to the ones you will read about below.
- Open air shipping is the least expensive delivery method. The motorcycle will be left open to the weather, but it is rare that any damage ever occurs. This is especially true when the bike is in the hands of a professional.
- Enclosed shipping is a little more secure in that the bike is enclosed in a large shipping container. The bike is first secured to a pallet and usually protected with packing materials. Other vehicles are usually in the container with the bike.
- Crated shipping means that the bike is literally secured inside a small crate. This crate just fits the motorcycle within its walls, making it nearly impossible for it to shift during its travels.
