Shipping a Vehicle to Laurel
Once you have booked your auto transport, there are still quite a few things you need to take care of before the driver is at your location to pick the car up.
- Your car needs to be completely empty aside from the seats and attached parts. In other words, all of your personal items need to be removed from the car. This includes items in the glove box, seats, trunk and console of the car.
- Wash the car so the driver will be able to see all surface areas as the inspection is done before the car is loaded for transport.
- The car should not have more than a quarter tank of gas in it when it is being transported.
- The battery should be charged, tires inflated and the brakes need to work well as the driver will need to shift the car from one position to another as other vehicles are loaded and unloaded.
- You should have copies of all paperwork from the transporter before the car is picked up. Also, make a spare key for the driver as he will need one for the ignition, door, and trunk of the car.
