Planning to relocate somewhere other than your childhood neighborhood in Clearwater will obviously bring about mixed emotions.
While the whole idea of moving to such a beautiful island city is exciting, the amount of planning that needs to be done will become overwhelming. Perhaps the most tedious part of moving is the actual task of getting your belongings from one location to the next safely.
Any motorcycle owner moving will want their bikes with them so they can travel their new surroundings. Fortunately, there are many motorcycle shipping services to take advantage of. Transport specialists will safely get your motorcycle from one place to the next without causing it any harm or adding on any mileage. They have everything they need, from secure fasteners to vehicle haulers.
What the Transporter Will Hold You Responsible For.
While the transport company will administer a majority of the tasks in regards to the motorcycle’s future transport, there are some things you will be responsible for too. Before the motorcycle can be shipped to its next home, the proper documentation will need to be presented. A payment must also be made.
After the shipping date is programmed and the documents asked for are collected, the bike will need to be prepped for its travels. The preparation needed may vary, but in most cases the bike will need to be washed and all damages will need to be documented. The fluids and tire pressure should be checked, and the fuel tank should read less than ¼ full. The handlebars and other loose items may need to be removed depending on the purchased transport method.
If you are sending the motorcycle to another person, make sure you clarify that with the auto transport company. They will need to have the other responsible party’s information on record.
