With the over 3.5 million truck drivers employed all across the nation, the second week in September serves as a way to honor and celebrate their service. These dedicated individuals not only transport our goods securely and efficiently, they also work diligently to keep our roads safe. Take the time to appreciate all their hard work during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, September 13-19, 2020.
As the COVID-19 pandemic rocked our country and the world, our nation’s truck drivers, being deemed essential workers, continued working. All of those purchases you made on Amazon while you were cooped up inside your home during the first few months of the pandemic were delivered by a truck driver. They played a crucial role during this time and continue to do so, as the pandemic has created a “new normal” across the United States. We often don’t consider all of the effort that goes into having a simple package, or other goods, delivered directly to our front door. This fact is precisely why September 13-19th is an entire week dedicated to showing the truck drivers across the country that we value, respect and appreciate the hard work they put in every single day.
We are forever thankful for truck drivers and understand that without them, our grocery store, our closet and our pantry would all be vacant. Now and forever, truckers are, literally and figuratively, moving America forward.
Please join all of us at A-1 Auto Transport in celebrating the men and women with one of the nation’s most vital, yet demanding jobs. If you know someone who is a trucker, use this time to extend a simple thank you note. Or, if you come across a truck driver while out on the road, use the signature arm-pull signal to show them that you care; and maybe they’ll even blast their horn in response.
Additionally, in celebration of this very special week in our industry, many car shippers are providing discounts during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. Reach out to one of our representatives today to get a car shipping quote to begin the booking process!
